RETREATS & TRAVEL
Mongolia — September Journey
A retreat into vastness, nature, and yourself
By Izi Stevens & Carlos Musalem
This is not a conventional trip.
It is a journey for those who feel drawn to vastness, to far away lands
to culture,
to real experience.
For those who long to step outside of the familiar
and enter a different rhythm of life.
A journey of movement & stillness, discovery & adventure
both in the world, and within yourself.
Mongolia — September Journey
September 8th – 24th / 17 days
ANCIENT Mongolia
This is not just a trip, but a journey into space, culture, and simplicity.
Our journey begins in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia and a city where nomadic heritage, Soviet history, and modern life converge. This is the place where we all gather.
We leave the city behind, venturing by 4×4 across endless plains to the vast, untouched Gobi Desert. We stay in traditional gers, living close to the land and its rhythms.
From the desert, we move west into the wild Altai mountains. Staying with a Kazakh family, we experience daily life, traditions, and the ancient practice of eagle hunting from within the culture itself.
On horseback, we travel deeper into the landscape toward the Eagle Festival, passing open mountain terrain and serene places like Tolbo Lake, where water, sky, and silence meet, until we arrive and withness the eagle festival from within. An once in a lifetime experience!
This is not just a trip, but a journey into space, culture, and simplicity.
